The Trafford Data Lab, previously the Trafford Innovation and Intelligence Lab, was set up in 2014. Since then it has been involved in a number of projects.
An EU-funded Horizon 2020 project where we are working to develop tools that will enable Jobcentre Plus managers to understand levels of worklessness in their areas.
The project supports UK grantmakers to publish information on who, where and what they fund in an open, standardised format to build a better picture of the funding landscape and boost its impact.
Past projects include:
- Mapping defibrillators
This project, mentioned by The Guardian, used data to help decide the location of defibrillators in Trafford.
- Cervical screening
This project, mentioned by The Open Data Institute, identified areas with low cervical cancer screening rates to help inform the design and implementation of a low-cost, highly targeted campaign to raise screening rates.
