Generations

People who are born at a similar time share common formative experiences. They may remember the same childrens' TV programmes or how they felt during significant historical events like the Cuban Missile Crisis.

There were estimated to be 237,354 residents living in Trafford at the end of June 2019. Generation X or those born between 1965 and 1980 represent the largest generation in Trafford accounting for 23.1% (54,869) of residents. In England, those born between 1981 and 1996 or Millennials are the largest generation and account for 21.4% of the population.
