Eco-heating

The Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive is a UK Government scheme launched that encourages households to switch from gas and oil-fired boilers to low carbon heating technologies like biomass boilers, heat pumps and solar thermal panels through financial incentives. 829 applications were accredited for payment in Greater Manchester between April 2014 and September 2019. The number of accredited applications by local authority varies from 332 in Wigan and 9 in Salford. There were 28 applications accredited for payment in Trafford.
