The GM Cycling and Walking Commissioner’s Made to Move strategy encourages modal shift away from cars towards waking and cycling. According to the last Census, 3.1% of commuting journeys by Trafford residents were made by bike, 8% on foot, 13.4% on public transport, and 68.3% by car or van.
